Phoenix FM organized a fantastic Radiothon, commencing at 9 am on November 18th and concluding at 9 am on the following Sunday. The purpose of the Radiothon was to generate funds in support of Phoenix FM, your local community radio station, and it received an impressive pledge of four thousand dollars!
Members of the Blanchardstown community took on hosting responsibilities during the Radiothon, delivering exceptional shows. The lineup included support groups, societies, volunteer organizations, politicians, and community members spanning different age groups. The Radiothon featured a diverse array of interviews, talk shows, and music programs.

Councillor Ted Leddy scheduled a session to share insights on the numerous books he has read throughout the year.
Craobh Shlí Dhála CCÉ and Comhaltas joined us for our 24 hour radiothon to talk about Irish music and gave us a live performance!
Councillor John Walsh joined us in the studio at 3 pm for our radiothon.
Castleknock Tidy Towns hosted a slot to sit down and talk to Charlie
Jonathon Linklater hosted a special broadcast on behalf of Irish Stammering Association for our Radiothon.
His guests included: David Heney the Chair of ISA, Brady an ISAYITI member, Penny Farrell an ISA Youth Development Officer, and Nora Trench Bowles the ISA Vice Chair and member of Bród Staidearachta.
Oisin McNamee presented a special episode of Phoenix Blues during our 24-hour Radiothon.
Cllr Pamela Conroy – Castleknock joined to talk about Group B Strep.
Minister Jack Chambers hosted his own show, featuring some of his favorite tracks as he ushered in the Saturday Night session.
Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth Roderic O’Gorman Roderic O’Gorman TD was interviewed by Carmelle Keane.
Paul Donnelly TD was joined by John Boland in the Phoenix FM studio at 10pm.
Throughout the night, we enjoyed fantastic performances and outstanding songs that kept our spirits high, courtesy of the dedicated volunteer Snuffy.
Phoenix FM’s very own Brian Greene took the reins live in the studio and kept the Radiothon going until the early morning playing some banging tracks!
